Route: Crawford Path from 302 to Monroe. Ammonoosuc Ravine to Cog
Trail Conditions: Crawford Path- monorail and bare rock. Ammo- well packed for most of length. Stream crossings are tricky.
Have your camera ready.
Special Equipment: Microspikes and bareboots all day.
Comments: Smooth and easy travel on the monorail. If you find yourself off trail by design or by accident snowshoes will be necessary.
Upper Ammo has sections were the trail is packed snow atop rapidly flowing water.
