Date of Hike: 1/6/2012
Trail Conditions: Slight dusting of snow on most of the trail, a bit inconsistent down low, constant up higher but by the afternoon, likely gone & should be gone over the weekend. A bit of ice below the powerline crossing. two stream crossings not hard but not frozen enough to cross either. The 2nd one a little harder as the ice covered some rocks you'd hop on. A couple of downed trees easily avoidable with no real snow on the ground.
Special Equipment Required: Nothing unusual, light gloves & layers for temps this morning in the upper 20's with a fair breeze along the ridgecrest
Comments: - Winter still eludes Southern New England since Mid-Autumn..... (My heating oil guy may not like it but my feet love being in regular boots instead of plastics.)
