Date of Hike: 8/1/10
Trail Conditions: Dry. Very nice., especially for the steep ledges going up South Baldface.
Special Equipment Required: None.
Comments: Optional - Splendid views. Went up ledges to South Baldface, over to North Baldface, and then down Bicknell Ridge Trail (nice views). The conditions were excellent for this hike. I would not attempt the ledges with any amount of moisture on the ground and would not attempt them doing down in any conditions. There hasn't been any rain in days so don't count on water at the S.Baldface shelter. Also, I lost a pair of black Komperdell trekking poles between North Baldface and Bicknell Ridge Trail. Would really appreciate a finder contacting me so I may get them back.
