Took a short jaunt from Albany up and down Hadley today, Friday, April 30. The black flies greeted us in the parking lot, and kept us company up the trail. The breeze on the summit kept them away during lunch.
There weren't too many of them out yet, and they weren't too aggressive, as a light application of Off kept them mostly away from me. So, other than aspirating one of them who flew into my mouth which was open at an inopportune moment, not too much of a nuisance today.
