Lincoln woods to Bondcliff trail had a trace to an inch of snow with minimal ice. The large stream crossing is semi frozen and would be very difficult without poles. Some minor blowdowns. Footprints frozen in the mud made for some annoying running.

Bondcliff trail to Bondcliff trace to 8 inches with drifts to 12 higher up. Very icy in places under the snow I put microspikes on after the first crossing and wore them until I returned. Difficult conditions even with light traction because of VERY hard ice under the snow. Spent time cleaning the ice of the rock at the crux so I didn't slip off when downclimbing. River crossings easy with care and poles. Several blowdowns are easily negotiated. Carried snowshoes but they are not required there yet.

Planned on doing all three Bonds but lack of traction dictated an early turn around . Another 18 inches and we're good to go!
