Zealand Trail in good shape. The hut was very busy but the trails were quiet. Only ran into two groups all day. Z-cliff's views were great. Twinway was also in good shape. Usual mudpits but avoidable. We could hear the wind howling right from the start. When turning off the Twinway towards Guyot, Liz got blown over. By the time we reached West Bond the wind died right down to a breeze. Just enough to keep the bugs down. The weather turned out perfect for this hike. Views were superb. Most of the trails are in great shape. Didn't hit a blowdown until just before the first stream crossing on Bondcliff Trail. Great day out with Liz James and Dooley. For James #38, Dooley already has these peaks but it dosen't matter, he's doing the grid.
