Came in from Lincoln Woods, all trails were great until coming up over the rocky ledge, that was all snow drifts up to the summit, the snow was not very deep and there was a lot of icy rock....up to Bond was the same story but in the trees the snow got quite deep, down the col to West Bond was the same, drifts of very deep snow. Once back on the Bondcliff trail we went left towards Twinway, everything was great until we got to the Twinway. The path to Zealand looks packed down (as a matter of fat we ran into a snowshoer coming from the hut) there was no traffic to the Twins from the turn-off, NOTHING. We packed out some snowshoe prints, some snow was waist deep but there are at least tracks to keep you on course if you go up there!! We met up with prints coming down from South but they turned back after a couple hundred feet, so that is more packed down. Everything from the top of South Twin to the parking lot is packed down nicely!! All the way out was smooth sailing, water is thickly bridged! So anyone planning a traverse should head up there now!! Perfect conditions!
