Date of Hike: 3/6
Trail Conditions:Lincoln Wood right up to Bond Cliff is very well packed. From Bond Cliff to Bond there is intermittent bare rock, ice, and deep snow drifts. From Bond to West Bond is somewhat packed powder. From Guyot to South Twin is deep soft unpacked powder. South Twin to Little River Road is well packed.
Special Equipment Required: We wore microspikes from Lincoln Woods until Guyot. Then we switched to snow shoes for the rest of the hike.
Comments: It was a really long but rewarding day. We enjoyed excellent views all day long. With the exception of the two mile section of trail between Guyot and South Twin, trail conditions were fantastic. Special thanks to Mary's girl for breaking so much trail. Maybe if we had put our snow shoes on earlier we could have avoided so much post-holing.
