Burrows Trail

Signs on Camels Hump Rd indicated that the road was closed to hiking the mountain. With the fresh snow I was unable to get up one of the hills in 2WD since the plows hadn't yet made their way up there. There's a few turnoffs that are plowed and the one I chose added ~3 miles to the hike, not a big deal. Up at the parking lot there was a handful of cars even on a snowy weekday. The trail was as expected a bit of a mess. Lots of postholes, rock-hard snow, and a little bit of hidden ice. I barebooted halfway up and switched to microspikes higher up. Definitely no need for snowshoes, the snow was very firm. No sunset views as the summit was in the clouds but on the descent it looked like it would have been a nice one had it cleared higher up. The road was plowed for my walk back to the car and it was quite slick, lots of ice.
