Date of Hike: 1/12/14
Trail Conditions: Hiked via the Kinsman Ridge Trail near the base of the tram. The parking area was a sheet of ice. The trail was super icy. After the rain we had, there is very little hard packed snow left... except near the top above the view ledge. Numerous ice flows today.
Special Equipment Required: Crampons. (We started with Microspikes, but soon switched to crampons, which felt more secure given the ice flows)
Comments: Wayne G. and I had the trail to ourselves today. The parking area was quiet, and the slopes had bare spots.... leading us to wonder if Cannon was even open today (it was).
