Parked at Lafayette Place. Eli (dog) and I had a great day hitting Cannon, North & South Kinsman. He enjoyed laying in the grass near the car at the end of the day.
The recap: Lonesome Lake Tr to Hi Cannon and Kinsman Ridge trails to Cannon. South on Kinsman Ridge Tr through Kinsman Jct to North and South Kinsman. Turn around, head north back to Kinsman Jct. Down Fishin Jimmy past a very busy Lonesome Lake Hut, with many children drying off from dips in the lake. Cascade Brook Tr around the lake and down Lonesome Lake Tr back to Lafayette Place.
I haven't hiked Kinsman Ridge over the Cannon Balls in a couple of years. It's pretty nice when it is dry. The blazes looked freshly painted. Even Fishin Jimmy was fairly dry (relatively speaking, of course).
Eli slept from our departure all the way back to Boston. Another fine day with the dog.
