Conditions: The trail was packed out over a deep base. If you stepped away from the very middle of the trail, you were almost guaranteed to posthole. Deep postholes lined the sides of the trail most of the way up. There were no blow downs. Snow and ice covered the summit. Trail conditions were excellent.
Special Equipment: Winter gear was very much needed. The group was split on the ascent. Half used snowshoes and half used micro Khatoolahs (or similar traction devices). Snowshoes avoided concentrating on staying on the middle of the trail. Beyond the trees crampons are recommended.
Conditions: It was an enjoyable hike with a good group of people. Trail and weather conditions were great. Visibility at the summit was about 40'.
