Does anyone know conditions up on Franconia Ridge? I am thinking of heading up there this week...

I did the Loop on Friday and encountered the following: Up Bridle Path to hut. Only a little ice before the hut, some going up from the Eagle Lake Col. Nothing on the ridge. Considerable ice and snow after descending below tree line on Falling Waters trail. After reaching the Shining Rock spur path, the ice and snow peter out. All stream crossings were fine and rock hoppable. I carried Stabilicers, but never took them out of the pack since plenty of rocks or dry ground was available to skirt the ice and snow. Enjoy.

Hi hiked up Old Bridle Path, across the ridge and down Falling waters trail about two weeks ago. There was some small snowfields left up above tree line but we barebooted the whole way. Stable-icers might have been nice on the way down but not really necessary....
