Nice trip report, Rik.

We've been to the Grand Canyon recently and after going down the South Kaibob Trail and staying at Phantom Ranch (and then doing some of the North Kaibob Trail), want to return to do the rim-to-rim hike. We have a bit of an appreciation for the trek you made.

Woo hoo!! Congratulations Rik and nice report. You had a warm day to deal with down there.

The GC R2R2R is one "run" I'll never tire of. I can never seem to make very good time, though -- too much spectacular scenery to stop and look at!

Great Trip!!

I've done the South Kaibob Trail down and stayed at Bright Angel Campground and then over to Cedar Point for a night but have always wanted to return for a r2r2r hike!!
