Conditions: Beautiful sunny day! Wet areas on some parts of the trails, due to all the rain. The brook was gorgeous with all the recent rain; we had never seen it so high. Still some great color
Special equipment: Hiking poles for coming down the steep wet area from the Ridge Shelter.
This is a beautiful six-mile hike from the Dunbar Brook Picnic area up to Main Road, and back down Raycroft Road, by the Smith Hollow Shelter, Ridge Shelter and back down to the brook and out. Saw only two people all day. Great hike with Audrey, Pat, Leo and Cilla.
