Roads in are the biggest challenge. Road off 16 is just north of the gravel pit road. Advise using hiking GPS and other member GPS tracks re:drive in for help on many
diverging roads. When driving out, the 'main' road seems alittle more obvious than the original drive in. Atleast two dozen culverts to drive through. Subaru outback did fine until last three before parking area, parked on road and walked up to 'parking area'.
Herd path obvious up road straight ahead, pines/spruce get closer, path still obvious. There is a climb over and around small blowdown just before the yellow boundary post on the right where path diverges into woods on the left.
Herd path very easy to follow along boundary markers. nice walk in the pine woods, soft gentle path. A couple climb overs.
Point of 'bushwhack' to the top, just happens almost without notice, large cairn somewhat tumbled at the start. Took herd path to the left at split ...smaller cairns here and there on the way, easy to follow. One small ledge area to climb.
At the top, herd paths rejoin, can go straight or to the left both paths end up at canister.
Canister full of gnarly flying ant type bugs that appreciated the chance to escape and get all over our packs!
