Conditions: About an inch over a well packed base at the lower elevations. A bit more fresh snow at the upper elevations. The slide had some ice under the new snow. Trail exposed to the wind had several inches of new show. Excellent trail conditions.
Equipment: I used MSR snowshoes up and down. I did put crampons for the down climb by the chimmney between East & Osceola. Crampons could have been used on the entire. Two women on the trail used Micro spikes.
Comments: No views today but a great day to be out. You could hear strong winds but the trail was well protected. Ran in to only two other hikers. The conditions were perfect for taking on the steeps. It was a very enjoyable day.
