My second time up this peak, first time in the snow. Trail was choppy, but had a good monorail all the way. K10's car to car, even the spur was solid, I intended to be in snowshoes as the day warmed up, but there was no need. Would have been impossible to stay in the footbed anyway with the frozen boot holes. Ran into some dudes skiing in the glades of South Baldface, they had some good runs, I never knew the Forest Service actually cut runs into those woods. Ground is opening up down low, actually felt like the changing of the seasons, I am re-doing my pack contents for my next hike.

Granite Backcountry Alliance gains preliminary approval for glading projects in the White Mountains This is a dated article but does show some insight to GBA's mission. They are extremely organized and follow appropriate protocol. One of their signature pieces is on Crescent Mt. within The Randolph Community forest. This is their go to Guidebook.
