Ermine brook to Big Santanoni.

If you have done this trip, how long did it take you to get from the top of the slide to Santanoni's summit? Were you carrying daypacks or otherwise? Thanks!

I did that hike many years ago. We had day packs that we used from our site on the Ermine Brook. From the top of the slide to the summit took close to 2 hours. Through the most brutal cripplebush ever. It was an adventure and alot of fun. From our site we started at 7 am ascended the slide and made the summit. Continued on to Panther and the Couchie. At the summit of Couch. we decended toward Calahan Brook. Once we got to the brook, we followed that down to the horse trail and then back to our site by 7 pm. A long day, but very worth the trip. We saw no one else that day and only minimal signs of civilization.
