Conditions: Wilderness Trail packed from x-country skiers, Osseo fresh unbroken 3" to 4" inches at lower elevations, 8" to 10" above 3500 feet. 25 degrees at start in Lincoln Woods parking lot, 15 degrees on summit about 20 to 25 mile an hour wind.

Equipment: Typical winter gear with a little extra for the exposed summit. Snow shoes or crampons not necesary but willl be real soon.

Comments: Lincoln Woods parking area just about empty which we found real surprising for this time of year. Seven in our crew out on what stars out to be pretty overcast. Quick walk up to Osseo trail, a short break then up on unbroken trail which we all alternated breaking through, snow depth increasing the higher we climbed. Got to the Flume Slide Trail where we "geared up" for the exposed summit, clouds lifted a few minutes before so views on Flume were excellent in all directions. Many took advantage of excellent "glisading" conditions on the way down. Made it back out to the parking lot where Albey and Connie had some tasty Harpoon available for the post hike celebration!!!! Thank-You!!!! This crew, Sarge, Taylor, Cubby, Albey, Paul and Flaps always full of laughs from start to finish. Another spectacular day!!!!!
