Gray Peak 8/27/08

Gail and I climbed Gray Peak this past Wed., hiking in from South Meadows and passing Lake Arnold along the way. It was a picture perfect day, lots of nice views along the way. The slide show is here

What really nice, sharp pictures. What kind of camera, Freddy?

The Lake Tear picture is intersting. At times I've seen it when its looked like a large pond, a frozen pond or marsh, and have been there in midsummer when it was a dry field with a tiny stream running thru the center that you could hop over.

You and Gail had a great day in the mountains.

Alan, I have an old Casio EX-S3, only 3.2 megapixels. The best thing about it is that it's smaller than a deck of cards and lighter, too...... it has also survived getting dropped, banged, fallen on, and wet many times, even went through the wash once at Gail's.

It's a great hiking camera, have had it for quite a # of years now. Thanks, Fred

One of my favorite peaks!

That swamp at the end of the Feldspar Brook/Lake Arnold Trail is looking pretty wet! Any chance the DEC is going to do some much needed rerouting???
