Trail Conditions: Very hard packed snow, ice, some exposed rock and roots. Extremely well defined and broken trail.
Special Equipment Required: I wore snow shoes from the car to the summit and then back down to the North Twin Trail junction. After that I barebooted the last two miles back to the car. Out of my three other party members, two barebooted the whole way with no difficulty and one microspiked it the whole way.
Comments: Yesterday was by far the easiest day I have ever had hiking a winter 4k. The trail was very smooth, gradual and easy to follow. And it helped that we had almost spring like mild weather with clear skies and virtually no wind to speak of.
