Help! I need freeze dried chicken.

Hiking a portion of the Long Trail, leaving July 1. We ordered freeze dried chicken from Richmoor Foods, but they are out of stock.

Where do you get your chicken?
Do you like it?
Is there a website?
How much $$?

If you need bulk - Check out Alpine Aire - I have used them in the past for bulk chicken and beef and they've been pretty good - Here is the bulk page

dehydrate it yourself

I tried dehydrating it myself. I used chicked tenderloins. They were cooked ina forman grill for about 10 min. Then finly chopped. They rehydrate fairly well. They are a little tough. They were about the texture of clams in clam chowder. Here as another thread on the same topic and give credit to this post for the information I used another thread
