High zoom compacy camera

I have a friend who is looking for a high zoom compact camera, preferably about 15X.

She is not interested in manual controls etc., just wants to be able to take snapshots of distant mountains closely zoomed in.

She feels that a camera like my Panasonic FZ28 is too heavy, looking at something around 6 to 8 ounces.

You might take a look at the Canon SX210IS. 14:1 zoom, 7.5 oz.

If you go with the Canon I'd choose the SX130. IMO, the SX210 is a bit of a dog, as is the SX120. The 130 corrected a lot of the problems with both.

The other big player in the game is the Panasonic ZS5/7. Between the two of them I'd have a hard time choosing, although I have had very good luck with the Canons I've owned.

After checking reading the dpreview article my friend opted for the Casio EX-FH100, one of the two joint winners of the group test.
