On Sunday, the eastern end of the Devils Path (Catskills) was pretty dry. I had hiked from Platte Cove Road (Old Overlook Road Trail) to the summit of Indian Head and the Pecoy Notch Trail. Some areas of mud that are easily navigated. The streams were running surprisingly low and were all easily crossed.
A friend of mine hiked Owl's Head on Monday and had to "ford" the river crossings in frigid thigh deep rushing water! He opted for the bushwack on the way out, just to avoid the crossings.
