Trails: Rocky Branch, Engine Hill bushwack, Isolation, Davis
After all the rain Sunday I was apprehensive about the trail conditions and especially the stream crossing. I was glad to find the trail had refrozen overnight and with only a few inches of powder on top it was easy to follow. The stream crossing was just a little dicey, but doable with poles. I used snowshoes the whole day, no add'l traction required.
I want to thank everyone who broke out the trail over the last few weeks. Although there will be some new powder covering the trail today, there is a nice base and it should still be easy to navigate. Echoing others, I will say that this is still a great opportunity to bag Isolation, (at least until the next big storm.)...Stu
