Trail Conditions: Packed powder up to treeline. Above treeline a mix of deep drifts, ice and exposed rock.

Equipment: snowshoes were used and then crampons were used and then back to snowshoes on the way down when back to treeline. Thanks to all who used snowshoes as the trail is nicely packed and even wide enough!

Comments: Beautiful day to be hiking. Windy above treeline but not that bad. Maybe because it was soo warm out!! I did put my goggles on when going across the Gulf of Slides as the snow was blowing around. It isn't very often that you can be above treeline with no hat or mittens, soaking up the vitamin D.
