Peter J and I started up the unbroken Jewell Trail this morning at about 7:40. After a couple hours we were overtaken by a young couple with a dog and we all proceeded up to treeline where there were some limited views and very little wind. At this point decided I'd had enough and headed back down. So at least the lower part of the trail is now pretty well broken out.
