Keewenaw water trail

Has anyone done any part of this trail? It loops around the UP of Michigan, aroun Copper Harbor and thru the canal/river? around Houghton/Hancock area. I am looking at a possible Sept trip to the UP and want to do some kayaking while I am there. I would not consider the loop by myself by maybe some day trips.

Never done it, but always wanted to paddle the Keweenaw & Apostle Islands on the UP. Set out once to go there some years back, traveling by way of Canada & up the Bruce Peninsula, kind of long but scenic. Long story short, it was a Canadian holiday & the ferry crossings were all booked, so I was forced to spend a fabulous week paddling Georgian Bay. Let us know how it goes.
