This trail is pleasantly wild. Lots of summer growth intruding on to the path.
In the col between Unknown Pond Peak & Rogers Ledge, there is an island surrounded by water: Bog on the north, pond on the south. Approaching from the west, the puncheons are floating!
The water is about 2 1/2 feet deep. It was fun walking across a bridge that sunk below water.
Special equipment required: Balancing pole(s), hip waders, sandals, canoe
