Kinsman Pond Trail?

Kinsman Pond Trail is one of the last trails for me to visit in the Franconia Notch area. I've heard it can be a little difficult to follow. Has anyone been on it lately? Is the difficulty due to poor blazing? Overgrown trail? Steepness? I'm thinking of heading up there this weekend...

I've never found it difficult to follow. Parts are practically a stream bed and require careful foot placement since the wet rocks can be slippery.

I ascended this trail yesterday and had no problems with footing or navigation. There were a few times, as the trail goes in and out of stream beds, where I had to stop and look for a blaze but there was always one in a convenient location.

Went up there last year and it had been freshly blazed A good portion of the trail follows a stream bed but was easy to follow. The
rock hopping got a little wearisome and had to watch out for slippery moss but all in all I found it a pretty pleasant (and quiet) trail.

Just realized that was a year ago this coming weekend

Thanks for the info, especially the photos, Hiker Bob. I think I'll save that trail for a weekend when it wont be so wet
