Comments: Terrific Presi day. Howker Ridge trail an excellent route with good footing.. a few steep spots..varied and far reaching viewpoints...very enjoyable. While lounging on the sundeck at the Madison Hut Valerie spied a moose up off Gulfside and sure enough there was a moose at around 5200 feet just hanging out....kind of cool. Quick time on Gulfside to Thunderstorm Jct where we chatted with friends for a bit. LOve the Spurr Trail descent along the ravine...greeted by a musical serenade at Crag Camp by talented caretaker..That girl can sing. Gorgeous jog out Randolph Path on recently cleared corridor with great trailbed...Pretty decent day out with Val
