Maine Court Rules that Sunday Hunting Bans is constitutional

Maine has a fairly low bar for citizens initiatives. Right to Food was a citizen initiative that many voters didnt understand but voted for it anyhow. There was an interesting group of supporters behind the effort and the attempt to end the Sunday hunting ban was one of them.

I am not against hunting but there are many people (usually from "away") that will not go near the woods in hunting season.

Sort of blows my mind that Rhode Island allows hunting on Sunday but Maine does not.

I have never had any issues with hunters in the woods so never understood the Sunday ban (I'm not a hunter btw). Seems a lot more risky to drive to my hiking destination.
