Trail Conditions: Gorge Brook Trail in fairly good shape. Much water erosion on the lower part of the trail. Past the intersection of Gorge/Snapper, there is a large washout where the brook took out a 40' section of trail, but it is easily traversed with some rock hopping in the brook. Rest of trails in good shape - the crew did a fine job cleaning up the many, many uprooted trees.

Special Equipment Required: None

Comments: A sunny Friday and we had the summit completely to ourselves! Must have been the "crack of Noon" starting time! Windy as always, but pleasantly cool. Amazing to see the huge amount of uprooted trees that came to rest on the first bridge. The brook bed looked a bit like a war zone in parts. Other than the one missing piece of trail, and the many washed-out areas within the trail, things were in fine shape... just a bit more exposed rock than I remembered from a month ago!
