Conditions: The trail was well packed. There was firm snow in middle of trail with one to two inches of fresh. Post holing occurred when stepping off the trail. Near the ridge there was six inches of new snow which was unbroken but is now well packed. The trail was in excellent shape.
Equipment: Some sought of traction was very useful. Anything would work.
Comments: It was a great day out. 7 degrees in the parking lot. It was windy after reaching the ridge. Moosilauke and South Peak had continuous winds 25 to 30 mph. Not many people out....we saw a total of 5 people on the trail. I really enjoy Glenclff as a Winter route to the summit. A wonderful Winter hike with Larry D.
