Stony Brook Trail starting up at the road from the residential area.
At the beginning right off the road there was a foot of heavy sticky untracked snow that only got deeper the further we went. It turned to knee deep lighter snow but was hard going for 4 senior citizens. Trail finding proved to be interesting also. There were blowdowns and bending trees over the trail. We got to a little over 2500 feet and just couldn't find the trail so decided that it was near our turn around time and headed back down. At least now it will be easier for someone else to break the track to the top. Can't wait to get this peak in as a winter hike.
