Trail Conditions: It has snowed since we did this, but for what it is worth: We felt we needed 4WD with moderate clearance for the last couple miles of road to the Firewarden's Trail tailhead. Lots of jutting rocks, mud holes, and a few gullies. The two logging bridges on the road have been completely replaced and are safe. The trail itself was in great shape, no issues, easy to follow. Cairns on the talus below the summit are small and tend to blend in; would be harder to parse in snow or dark. Almost no ice on the trail; a few patches around treeline. Trail water crossings were unfrozen with stepping stones showing but slippery.

Special Equipment Required: We brought microspikes but did not use them.

Comments: The old firetower has fallen on its side. The tiny summit shelter is in good shape with a tarp over the entrance.
