The trailhead is not marked but very clear at the Mass--CT border on the Mt. Washington Rd.
The trail starts on the Ct. side of the border and goes directly into Mass then back into Ct. It stays in CT until you descend the far side of Round Mt. where you enter back into Mass.
The summit is located 25' to the right of the point where the trail swings left to head back into CT. Hanging on a tree next to the summit cairn is a box for logging in. Inside the box is a plastic sack full of small notebooks and papers. It's obviously not being maintained right now and if you are heading up that way it needs a new notebook--not too large.
The trail is easy to follow and in good condition with no blowdowns or other obstacles. There is one spot shortly before the summit of Round Mt. where the trail appears to go to the left. That herd trail quickly stops. The actual trail goes straight up over the ledge.
When coming from the north the parking lot is located about 50' on the left farther down the road from the trailhead.
