Mt Hale via Fire Wardens Trail. 17 March 2013
Conditions
Parking ok along road.
Connector to North Twin TH hard packed.
North Twin Trail packed snow. Trail stays to left side of Little River at first crossing.
FW is a ski trail to the summit. Lots of side ski trails too through the glades.
From the summit both the other trail up looked well packed out too.
Equipment
Skis. Snowshoes. Spikes probably fine too. Tho it will all change tomorrow with the new snow.
I barebooted the connector and donned snowshoes at the NT TH and wore them all the way back.
Comments
The Little River was a jumbled mess of ice, rocks, and lots of open water. Huge blocks of ice were up on the banks and in the trees - it must've been quite something last weekend with the warm weather.
