Trail Conditions: Jackson-Webster Trail is very wet and slushy, may be because of raining one day before. The group started hike with Microspikes almost all the way to summit. Water crossing wasn't difficult. Before treeline, we stopped, added layer. Changed microspikes to Crampons just in case, as we didn't want to stuck above treeline and change gear with windy condition. This traction change worked very well and it was easy to go up to the summit. Summit is windy, several folks put on goggles. (I didn't carry it)
Necessary gear: I left snowshoes in the car since I didn't think we need it. Half members in the hiking group carried snowshoes, but, they didn't use it at all. At this point, snow accumulation is 2-4 inches, therefore, necessary gear would be Microspikes. Having Hiking Crampons (10-12 tooth) will add more safety during your hike.
