Date of Hike: August 12, 2014
Trail Conditions: Nancy Pond Trail: Very good. Some of the re-routes around what I presume to be Irene damage are getting a little beat up. Good footing even on the steep parts. Water crossings were no problem; I kept my shoes dry. Herd path: Easy to find and in very good shape. The middle section is steep but the footing is good. Make sure to go right after the herd path joins the top of the slide.
Special Equipment Required: Nothing special. Hiking staffs were handy on the steep bits of the herd path.
Comments: Cloudy day, but cool and no bugs. Saw a couple of people descending at the trailhead, but after that had the trail to myself
