trails: mt. roberts trail, high ridge trail, woods road
conditions: trails were in great condition and mostly dry except for a few sections just below mt. roberts and in spots on the high ridge trail trail. the road up to faraway from high ridge trail is not marked, but hard to miss if you are looking for it.
equipment: nothing in particular.
comments: given the beautiful morning it seemed like a good day to finally get up to mt. roberts given everything i had heard about it. the trail and summit did not disappoint. roberts trail is one of the finest that i have hiked in a while. fantastic views to winnipesaukee and the surrounding mountains on open ledges. great hike over to faraway as well. lots of interesting woods that invites off trail exploration. nice to run into tim and val along the way. great to be out.
