NH Turkey Season Starts Next Weekend

If you're a lowland hiker, take note that turkey season is coming up in NH: April 29-30 is youth weekend, May 3-31 the regular season. There are tons of turkeys up here, and the season is being advertised as "good." Avoid wearing red, white, & blue, which are male turkey colors. (That middle color didn't show up well--it's "white.")

P.S. I change the dog collars back to blaze orange for May.

Saw a couple turkeys yesterday, one on I93, another on 302 goin by Bretton Woods, and tracks along Base Road.

yikes! thanks for posting, I saw a family of them in the log landing last Weds. at the SPNHF property I monitor. I keep forgetting there's other hunting seasons besides Oct/Nov/Dec.

Yes...to bad they hunt them...but everybody has a right to get their kicks I suppose.
