Trails: Livermore, Scaur Ridge, Pine Bend Brook, Tripyramid Ridge Trail
Conditions: We were able to bare boot 2 miles on packed ski trails, then snow shoes were required for the rest of the trail. From 2 inches new snow to about 5 inches on the ridgeline. Thanks to Rocket 21 for his great trail work on Sunday we had an easy time of breaking trail.
Equipment: Snowshoes, warm layers, face mask or balaklava. Temps ranged from plus 5 in the sun and out of the wind, to minus 10 at the top of north. We were mostly sheltered from the wind.
Comments: A large group of 14 hardy folks traveled the 13 miles for two winter peaks. Not a VFTT trip, but I noticed one red truck in the parking lot with a VFTT sticker, maybe belonging to a sweet guy named Chuck.
