I second the congrats and agree that it's a nice article. Since he probably can't/won't plug his own book, I'll just mention that I took a look at "Thru-Hikers Guide to America" the other day and was impressed. I didn't buy it since I'm not currently a Thru-Hiker, but I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in this type of hiking. I may buy it anyway if I become interested in dayhiking any of the long-distance trails he covers.
It looked very informative, readable and written w/ a fun tone. Standard disclaimer-no financial interest, don't work for the publisher, don't even know Erik, etc. Just recognized the name in my local book store and took a look at it.
