Hiked North Brother via the Marston Trail on Sunday, 10/10/15

Trail Conditions: Marston Trail to the first Coe Junction: excellent condition; Trail to second Coe Trail Junction: also great condition, with nice work on trail re-route; trail to the top is pretty ratty in places, with severe erosion and lots of wet spots.

Special Equipment: Other than the usual extra layers, nothing special needed.

Comments: Happy to grab # 67, even though the weather could have been better. It was spitting rain and cloudy all day, but the ceiling was above the peak so there were good views in most directions. Temperature up top was in the low 30s and the wind was in the mid-30s. Quite chilly! Katahdin was covered with clouds, so we could not enjoy that part of the view. The trail re-route is in pretty good shape, with a few little mud surprises. Nice work! The trail up top is in need of some serious work. The erosion is really bad in some places, and the trees have grown in a bit. Added a small degree of challenge.

We thought about Fort for about 5 seconds. If the weather had been more promising we would have given it more consideration. Maybe next time.
