Owl's Head - Long trip, short report

I just can't seem to write a detailed trip report for Owl's Head, so here goes the Cliff Note version.

Left Concord, NH 6:45
On the trail by 8

Long flat drag into woods, river crossings were okay, but still took off my shoes to make it easier.

Slide was steep, rocky and loose

Peak was nice and cool, weather was perfect.
Had lunch and took some pics.

Descent was worse than the ascent.

Long walk back to car, didn't see many people

Total hike time was 7:45 for the 18.4 miles.

#47 down 1 to go!!!!

I've saved Moriah for the last. It is looking like 8/25/07 is that date for that one. I've got a few bike races and family events between now and then, so that was the first available weekend I had.
I wanted to make it an "easier" one so that some of my less active family and friends can come.

I'm pretty psyched to be just about there. My next goal after this is Kathadin (probably next summer for a week vacation). Then we'll see where the winds take me.
