Trail Conditions: We stayed on the trails the whole way. Water crossings were low enough to rock hop. Trails were dry except for the mile or so from the base of the slide, which had some good boot-sucking mud. Slide was mostly dry except for the upper section in the trees.
Special Equipment Required: A good conversationalist in your group.
Comments: Quite a few groups out hiking, which made finding the true summit a little easier (just follow the voices). There are lots of herd paths but they seem to end up in the same place. We had a little confusion at the first major water crossing as the trail goes left along the brook for a while and if you cross at the end of that it doesn't meet up with the trail on the other side right away. On the way back we went straight across and I think this was the easier route, at least with the low water on Sunday.
