Hiked this one as a loop, up the Crawford Path to Pierce then over to Eisenhower and down the Edmands. Great hike, good company, awesome views.
Shout out to Fish, a SOBO AT thru hiker who just graduated from Penn State and hopes to be at Springer Mountain in November. Met him on the top of Pierce.
Another shout out to Gretchen from Maine. A super nice, good Samaritan who gave me a ride back to the car parked at the bottom of the Crawford Path and saved me from having to hoof it along the 2 mile road walk.
We had pretty cool lenticulars all day, a stiff sustained wind on Ike's summit and abundant sunshine and a breeze the rest of the day that kept the bugs at bay.
I would post pics but I screwed them up last time so gotta work on that.
