Trail Conditions: The trail has barely any snow at the beginning, and gradually increases to 3 feet or more at higher elevations. It's a variable highway to Bald Peak, and very well packed down. I broke trail from Bald to RPR, so there is a freshly broken trail but it's not too well packed down. Now's a great time to climb this trail!
Special Equipment Required: Microspikes would have been nice around Bald, but overall snowshoes were great. Yea, just snowshoes, with tails.
Comments: This is a really, really long hike when you're breaking trail solo the entire way. Just saying.
